Join VOICES - Survivor Leadership
VOICES is a group of individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence, harm, and/or abuse and now want to use their experience to inform and improve how public safety, health care, law enforcement, justice, and other types of social support responders offer and provide support. VOICES members share information about the Center in the community, support ongoing planning and programming, and speak up for themselves, other survivors, and what's right. The people in VOICES lead the way; the Center’s team helps them. Survivors of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences are encouraged.
We meet monthly at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings are both online and in person; translation and child care are provided when requested.

From a Member of Voices
“We are able to grow through awareness, understanding, compassion and connection. Welcoming community members with lived experience to bring insight and strategic thinking to pull interpersonal violence by the root. We are able to do this through trauma informed care, survivor led trainings, and by educating the community about the dynamics of interpersonal abuse and violence and human trafficking.”
