Understanding the Scope of Technology-Facilitated Abuse and Data to Inform Prevention

Online Event

The Administration for Children and Families' (ACF) Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Violence Prevention (DVP) are partnering to share what the latest data shows about the scope of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA).

This webinar will feature presentations from CDC DVP and ACF OTIP staff showing data from multiple large-scale national and international sources on the scope of TFA across age groups and situations. Panelists, including current federally funded award recipients, will also discuss how they use data to inform their practice and support efforts to prevent and respond to TFA.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the scope of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA), using national and international data.

  • Identify current and emerging data sources that can improve the scope and consequences of TFA.

  • Explain how agencies and organizations use TFA data to inform prevention and response efforts.

  • Apply evidence to design or strengthen prevention and response programming.
