Learn About Us

Coastal Community Justice Center provides no-cost support services in one location to anyone in Santa Cruz County who has experienced child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, hate crime, elder abuse, human trafficking, violent loss, family violence, or other abuse or victimization.

We work to provide comprehensive help to survivors of violence.

Walk-in services are available during hours of operation, or call ahead for more information. We have partnered with several nonprofit and public agencies to provide services on site.

If you're concerned about meeting us on site, phone us at 831-45-7000 and we'll do our best to make arrangements that work for you.

Built for Survivors, By Survivors

Life experience as a survivor is something that cannot be taught, bought, or taken away. Having a center that is survivor led means that lived experience, real life obstacles, pain, endurance and strength to overcome are at the center of all input and ideas. We know that domestic violence, human trafficking, and interpersonal violence can touch anyone's life — not because of personal failure, but because of systems that misuse power and cause harm.

At CCJC, we're here to help you see through deception, release what was never true about you, and reclaim your power. We'll help you find clarity in the confusion and reconnect with who you truly are: strong, trustworthy, worthy of love.

You don't have to do this alone. We offer space to grieve, companionship as you rebuild, and steady support on your path toward healing and wholeness. We know that as complex as interpersonal violence can be, having survivors create the foundation for our Center means we build from understanding, compassion, and integrity.

A Place for Healing & Connection

Ultimately, our center is a vibrant community with a shared purpose, where a strong safety net is woven through our operations, and where laughter, dignity, and a sense of belonging flourish.

These values are also embedded in the environment, integrating nature and pleasant sensory experiences to enhance comfort and healing.

Our dedicated, warm, and welcoming team is deeply attuned, actively listening from the heart in preferred languages, ensuring every person who walks through our doors feels seen, respected, and truly cared for.

Holistic Connection to Services

We provide clear, accessible information and space for autonomy and empowerment, recognizing and building upon individual strengths.

We strive to remove barriers like transportation or childcare and provide resources. We are dedicated to a comprehensive approach to healing for survivors.

At the heart of our center is the commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and believed, without judgment.

Whether you need immediate assistance or simply want to understand your options, we are here to help.

Who is our center for?

If you are feeling unsafe, hurt, controlled, or unsure about a relationship—you are in the right place.
